Every person on Earth is at all times surrounded by evidence that proves the existence of God. People cannot escape the evidence because it is not only all around them but it is also within them in their consciences. Examining the evidence that proves that God exists is like following an elephant in the mud. You can't miss the tracks.
It can be said that God has three books that reveal His existence. Of first importance is the Bible, God's written word where God speaks plainly in human language. The second book is the book of nature. The natural, created world, be it the astounding chemical complexity of single-celled life or the magnificence of a sunrise over the ocean, it all reveals things about God the creator. This truth is clearly stated in Romans 1:20 "For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse" (NAS).
The third "book" that reveals the existence of God is the human conscience. As Romans 2:15 says "....they show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness, and their thoughts alternatively accusing or else defending them,..." (NAS). God has written His laws on each of our hearts and each of us deep down knows what is right and wrong. Hence there is no excuse for doing evil.
Missionaries have related that upon their arrival in isolated areas in which the name of Jesus was never heard or mentioned that they find some people who are totally prepared to receive salvation through Christ. This is because the people had two "books," nature and conscience, that proved to them that God exists. Nature showed them the fact of the existence of God. Conscience showed them right and wrong (God's law). The third book, the Bible, presented by the missionary revealed God's plan of salvation through Christ who died for our sins.
There are also reports of people living in isolated areas of Muslim countries having visions of Jesus and whole villages turning to Christ as a result! I have recently read of this occurring in remote parts of north Africa.
Every person will stand before God to face judgment in the afterlife. God is totally just and fair and will judge every person in accordance with the amount of revelation that they had available in life. The Bible is very clear when it says "they are without excuse" (Romans 1:20). There is no excuse because God has revealed Himself to every person.
Any person, even an isolated person, who sincerely and wholeheartedly seeks God will find Him (Acts 17:27). Finding God is as easy as following an elephant in the mud but we must be willing to find Him. God will reveal Christ to a sincere seeker.

Steps to salvation:
Jesus said "Ye must be born again." (John 3:7)
- Believe that God created you and loves you and sent the Messiah (Messiah is Hebrew for Christ) to redeem you.
- Believe that Jesus the Messiah came in fulfillment of over 300 Bible prophecies to die for you to take upon Himself the penalty for your sins. (Isaiah 53:5-6, John 6:29, Romans 4:5, First Peter 3:18)
- Turn from sin and call on the name of Jesus to receive forgiveness. (Romans 10:13)
- Receive Jesus as Savior and experience the new birth. (John 1:12, Acts 2:38)
- Follow Him as Lord. (John 14:21)
"Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13)
To receive the salvation that Jesus purchased for us at the terrible cost of His suffering and death on our behalf I invite you to pray this simple prayer:
"Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for sending Jesus, the promised Messiah, to die for my sins. I admit that I am a sinner and I ask for your forgiveness on the basis of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I ask you to fill me with your Holy Spirit to empower me to serve you under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, Amen."
If you prayed that prayer in the humble sincerity of your heart then you have received everlasting life, which includes power to live right in this life and entrance into heaven in the afterlife!

APOLOGETIC ARTICLES
Bill Nugent currently writes a series of articles called "Defending the Faith" which, as the title suggests, defend the Christian faith from the many attacks leveled against it in our postmodern world.
